More Money than Cents

I know I said “no more PS3 talk” but DAMN if this isnt funny as heck.

Like the link says: perception becomes reality.

Anyway, to the subject at hand: They got Divx/Xvid to work on AppleTV – but damn, it seems like a lot of work.

I’m pretty happy with just watching stuff on the 24″ goodness of my new iMac but I’d still like a solution for the couch and I dont know if the AppleTV is the right hardware (or price) for the job. There are definately a couple of alternatives out there that probably do the job better.

I am, however, going to wait until the Spring (Autumn) update for the 360 drops (probably sometime in May) before I even think about a media centre solution. I can feel some very surpising features coming to combat the PS3.

I’m also still of two minds when it comes to the Xbox 360 HD-DVD addon. If the support was there at a retail level, I’d buy one this week on the spot. But it isnt, so I probably wont. But of course, now that I’ve said that, HD-DVDs will start popping up all over the place and EB will have sold out of drives by the time I wise up.
